Open Access Audio

OUR MISSION

We wish to offer open access audio versions of the public domain texts housed at Humboldt State University for the scholarly advancement, entertainment, and project facilitation of HSU students, the sight impaired community, and the public at large.
We hope that making works available through audio version creation will extend the reach of our rare book collection, encourage the use of our works, and expand the list of free, downloadable audio offerings for all.
We are currently working on offering Braille Reader Files (.BRF) of certain works! Check back soon!

Song of Six Rivers

Zev Levinson

Song of Six Rivers relates one man’s life-changing experiences throughout the Humboldt Bay region of northern California, depicting the area’s geography and history along the way. When the muse of this epic poem, Guy Kuttner, died unexpectedly, Zev Levinson heard his voice imploring him to sing of the land they both love.
At its heart, Song of Six Rivers strives to weave poetry into the everyday lives of those who dwell behind the redwood curtain.
